PU coating
Polyurethane varnish that provides deep gloss and a 3D-like effect. Protects against wear.
PU coating, also known as doming, involves pouring a clear polyurethane varnish over the finished printed decal. The varnish flows out on its own and solidifies into a curved lens that gives the print depth and a clear 3D effect. Colors appear more vivid and the decal gains a tangible quality feel.
We primarily PU-coat small and medium-sized decals — logos, emblems, nameplates and markings for control panels. The lens is applied after printing and cutting, and can follow both rounded and irregular shapes.
The surface is resistant to UV light, moisture, chemicals and mechanical abrasion, and retains its gloss for many years without yellowing. This makes PU-coated decals suitable where marking should look as good after several years as it did at delivery — on machines, vehicles and products used daily.
