Do you also enjoy troubleshooting, listening to others, and together understanding why problems arise and finding good solutions? Then this might be the role for you.
SweProd Graphics is one of Scandinavia's leading suppliers of industrial printed matter, with its own production in Visby. We work with a broad range of machinery and several different production processes, and we are now looking for a Technician who wants to help ensure that our machines function, develop, and can deliver the right quality at the right time.
About the role
As a Technician, you work closely with production to solve, prevent, and understand technical problems in our machines and equipment.
When a machine stops, you need to be able to understand what has happened, listen to the operator, troubleshoot methodically, and find a solution. Sometimes it needs to happen quickly to get production running again – but the work doesn't always stop there. We also want to understand why the problem occurred and what we can do to prevent it from happening again.
An important part of the role is also preventive work. You work with maintenance, service plans, and technical improvements to reduce the risk of future problems. This could involve making a machine more reliable, finding smarter technical solutions, simplifying work methods, or contributing to reduced material and energy consumption.
You work closely with our operators and Team Leaders. Those who work with the machines every day possess important knowledge, and as a Technician, you need to be able to listen, communicate what is happening, and share your own technical knowledge.
Who are we looking for?
For us, it's more important how you understand and approach technical problems than exactly which machines you have worked with before.
You have a good technical and mechanical basic understanding and the ability to analyze and see connections when something isn't working. You are proactive, enjoy finding out things you don't yet know, and have the perseverance to continue troubleshooting when the solution isn't obvious. At the same time, you can listen to others, reconsider your own solution, and ask for help when needed.
You also need to have a practical understanding of electricity in machines and production equipment – for example, being able to read electrical diagrams, measure and troubleshoot electrical faults, and understand common components such as sensors, motors, and contactors.
You may have gained your technical foundation through education, work experience, or other means. Relevant technical education, for example in industry, technology, or mechanics, is an advantage but not a requirement.
You don't need to know our machinery from the start. The important thing is that you have the foundation, the interest, and the ability to learn more.
