Team Leader

Visby · Heltid, Tillsvidare

Do you want to lead people and production towards the right quality at the right time? As a Team Leader at SweProd, you lead and develop the team, plan and prioritize daily work, and create conditions for stable production. You are close to the operations, enjoy technology and problem-solving, and help people succeed together.

Team Leader for SweProd Graphics

Do you enjoy making people, production, and problem-solving work together? Are you a Team Leader who dares to prioritize, communicate clearly, and make decisions, but who can also listen, develop others, and rethink when needed? Then this might be the role for you.

SweProd Graphics is one of Scandinavia's leading suppliers of industrial printed matter, with its own production in Visby. We are growing and developing our production and are now looking for Team Leaders who want to help lead our departments towards our common goal – the right quality at the right time.

Team Leader at SweProd

As a Team Leader with us, you are responsible for ensuring that your department has the right people and competence in the right place, that work is planned and prioritized, and that everyone knows what needs to be done.

You are close to production, understand what is happening in the department, and can step in operationally yourself when needed. But your most important job is not to do most of the work yourself.

Your job is to make the team succeed.

This means you prioritize, plan, delegate, and follow up. You set clear expectations, coach employees, and identify and act when something isn't working. You need to be stable in your decisions and communicate clearly, both within your own department and regarding what you need from other functions to be able to deliver together.

At the same time, you need to be open to improvements, notice when something goes wrong, receive feedback, and be able to change direction when there is a better way forward.

You manage the daily delivery

In your daily work, you are responsible for ensuring that your part of the production is on schedule and delivers to the next step at the right time and with the right quality.

You identify obstacles, risks, and deviations early and communicate when something risks affecting delivery. In case of quality deviations, you secure the problem, ensure that the correct information is passed on, and work together with the quality department and other involved parties to understand the cause, implement measures, and follow up on the results.

You also ensure that the department works according to our standards, that 5S is maintained, and that operators' planned machine maintenance is carried out.

But we don't just want to solve today's problems. We want to get better.

Therefore, you need to be curious about why problems arise and, together with employees and other functions, contribute to improvements in our working methods and processes.

We build stronger teams over time

An important part of the role is to build competence breadth and reduce personal dependency within the department.

You need to see what competence the department has today, what is missing, and what needs to be developed going forward. You ensure that planned training and competence development are carried out, delegate responsibility, and follow up.

The goal is not for you to be the person who knows and solves everything.

The goal is to build a team where more people know more, take responsibility, and where the department becomes less personally dependent over time.

Who are we looking for?

You don't have to be a finished leader. But you need to want to be one and have the prerequisites to become a really good one.

For us, it's more important that you have the right conditions to lead people than that a certain title is on your CV.

We believe that you:

have experience in manufacturing production and a good technical understanding of machines and production processes

take initiative and drive things forward without having to do everything yourself

are clear and dare to make decisions, prioritize, and set demands

follow up on what you and others have agreed upon

can delegate responsibility and want to develop people around you

communicate problems, risks, and needs in time – even when the message is uncomfortable

have self-awareness, can receive feedback, and can see your own part when something isn't working

You don't need to know SweProd's machines and processes from the start. You can learn that with us. However, you need to have a technical and production-related foundation that allows you to understand production, see connections, and relatively quickly familiarize yourself with our processes and machines.

Dedicated, Reliable, and Curious

Our values are Dedicated, Reliable, and Curious – and as a Team Leader, you are expected to be a role model for them in your daily work.

For us, this means that you are committed to both people and results, keep your promises, and communicate when something doesn't go as planned. You are curious about why problems arise, open to other perspectives, and want to develop yourself, the team, and the business.

And you look beyond your own department.

Because we succeed when SweProd together delivers the right quality at the right time.
